AMISTOP suspension contains domperidone which is a dopamine antagonist with anti-emetic effect. AMISTOP suspension used in treatment of: Epigastric sense of fullness, early satiety, felling of abdominal distension, upper abdominal pain and heart burn. Nausea and vomiting specially related to radiotherapy or drug therapy (e.g. L-dopa and bromocriptine that used in Parkinson's disease).

Your physician will determine what dose is appropriate for you. - For chronic dyspepsia: Adults: 10 ml three to four times daily.(maximum daily dose is 80 ml) Children: 2.5 ml/10kg body weight, three to four times daily. - For treatment of nausea and vomiting: Adults: 20 ml three to four times daily at bed time. Children: 5.0 ml/10kg body weight, three to four times daily at bed time. It is recommended to take AMISTOP suspension for four weeks then re-evaluation of patients Conditions. If you take more AMISTOP than you should: Call your physician or go to the nearest hospital emergency unit immediately. Overdose occurs mainly in infants and children. Symptoms includes: convulsions, agitation, disorientation and somnolence. Treatment: There is no specific antidote to domperidone. Gastric lavage and administration of activated charcoal are recommended with immediate medical supervision.
