BLOCAL capsules contain amlodipine besilate which act as a Calcium channel blocker. BLOCAL is used for treatment of hypertension and prophylaxis from angina. In treatment of hypertension, amlodipine act as relaxing agent for blood vessels. In prophylaxis of angina, amlodipine act by enhancing blood flow to the heart carrying more oxygen to prevent chest pain (angina) but not consider as a fast treatment for angina.
